Obituary - Mrs. Sterle H. Nottingham - Mrs. Hallie Nottingham, 67,
of 7 Wilbur Street, Greenville, Pennsylvania, died Monday October 1, 1973,
at her home following a long illness. Born May 17, 1906, at Green
Bank, she was a daughter of the late Leslie O. and Ruby M. Ralston Beard.
She had been a resident of Greenville for the past 44 years. She was
married to Sterle H. Nottingham October 17 1929. Mrs. Nottingham
was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, Calvary Court, 117 Order of
the Amaranth, Women of the Moose and Thiel Woman's Club. Two brothers
and one sister, Dewey Ralston Beard, Leslie Osborne Beard, and Lillian
Cameron Beard preceded her in death. Survivors include her husband,
Sterle; one son, Earl Nottingham of Finleyville, Pennsylvania; Layke Beard
of Baltimore, Maryland; six sisters Mrs. Lyle (Bertie) McLaughlin of
Folansbee; Mrs. Mack (Bonnie) Brook of Marlinton; Mrs. Harvey (Josephine)
Myers, and Mrs. Robert (Wawa) Gilmore, both of Durbin; Mrs. Carlton (Jeanne)
Irons, of Atlanta, Georgia; and Mrs. Mildred Armstrong, of Charleston.
Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Barid Funeral Home
Chapel in Greenville, with burial in Jamestown. |
