Beard was born Jan 16, 1856 at Hillsboro, West Virginia and died
here after a brief illness, March 6, 1934, age 81 years eight months, and
twenty days. He spent his childhood and youth in his native state.
At he age of 21 years he came to Tipton, Iowa and began farming.
He was married October 8, 1889 to Aetna Fisher at Wheatland, Iowa.
After living there for two years they moved to Konawa County, Iowa. He
came to Spring Valley in 1931; the year following his wife ..... His
son Leo died in infancy, but five children survived, Dale of Irvington; Miss
Mi?? of L?, Glen of Spring Valley; Esther of Mendoza, Iowa, and Mrs. Edith
Bremerton of Lincoln Nebraska. Services were haled at 11 am Wednesday
from the Jerrris Funeral Home conducted by Rev. A H. Mauman. Songs
were sung by Mr. and Mrs.. Loath Tertired, and accompanied by Mrs. Ike
Matheson,. Interment was made in Irvington, Iowa. M. H. |
