Married to Col. William Lamb McNeel..  They lived in Hillsboro, WV where he owned large tracts of fine land.  Of his generation, he was one of the most successful stock raisers in the county.   During the last three years of the war between the states, he served in the Confederate Army as a Captain of Co. F., 19th Virginia Calvary.   He served as a member of the Virginia legislature, and later as a member of the WVA Senate.  From 1872 to 1876 he served as sheriff of Pocahontas County.  This was his second marriage, first marriage was to Mary Elizabeth Woodward, no children..
