Obituary -
Margaret Martha - 24 Dec 1934 - Mt. Tabor, MO Margaret Martha, daughter of Archibald and Jeannette Rhea was born March 30, 1845 in Pocahontas County, VA. She came with her parents to Daviess County, Mo. when she was eight years of age. She moved with her parents tot he Mt. Tabor community about 1863. On Dec. 22, 1865 she was united in marriage to William M. Wolfenbarger and they made their home on a farm in the Mt. Tabor community for several years then moved to the Chapel Hill community where they lived until the death of her husband on July 1, 195. Then her oldest son John came to live with her on the farm until his death March 13, 1933. Since then she has made her home with the children. She passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Will Cobb near Pittsville, Dec. 24, 1934. Surviving are seven children, Mrs. Will Cobb, Arch and Fred Wofelnbarger of near Pittsville, Mrs. Frank Hoover, Bates City; Harley and J. C. of Colorado Springs, Colo, and Mrs. Frank McEwen, Odessa. She also leaves an older sister, Mrs. E. C. McClung of Darlington, MO, eleven grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives an friends. At the age of 12 she was converted and became a member of the M. E. Church, South at Gallatin, Mo., and later moved her membership to McKendree Chapel where she remained a faithful member until death. Funeral services were held Thursday morning at Woods Chapel, conducted by Rev. W. B. Bullens of Miami, Mo. Burial was at Mt. Tabor. |
