| Obituary - Mrs. Rachel Beard Sheets, aged 71 , window of the late Dock Sheets, passed away at her house at Dunmore, Saturday morning, Mach 13, 1935. She was a daughter of the late Charles W. Beard and Mae Nannie Perkins Beard of near Hillsboro. She survived by her sisters, Mrs. Lucy Hill of Covington, Va. and Miss Nannie Beard of Marlinton. Among other surviving relatives are her nephews, Mary G. Steele Callison and Deputy Sheriff E. H. Callison of Marlinton. Funeral Services were conducted from the Presbyterian Church at Dunmore Sunday afternoon, with Rev. R. H. Moore of the M. E. Church officiating. Interment was made in the Old Brick Church Cemetery near Hillsboro. Active pallbearers were: E. B. Callison, Lloyd Hill, Fenton Hill, J. W. Callison, O. G. Callison, and Carey Bobbitt. Among those from a distance attending the funeral of Mrs. Rachel Sheets, at Dunmore, Sunday were O. G. Callison and J. W. Callison of Beckley; Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Hill of Covington, VA; Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hill of Brownsville, Pennsylvania, and Mr. and Mrs. Denny Callison, of Beard. |
