Julian Lynn Beard, 60, of 304 Albert Ave. Portsmouth, died Sunday at 3 a.m.
at the Jane Witcher Nursing Home, Norfolk. He was a native of
Hillsboro W.Va. and had lived in Norfolk for the past 13 months. he
was a retired store keeper for C&O Railway. He was a member of the
Presbyterian Church and a son of Grace Kennison Beard and the late J.P. Beard
and the husband of Mrs. Beulah W. Beard. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by four sons, Ray C. Beard of Portsmouth, J. Ralph Beard of Wyoming, Pa., Ross E. Beard of Winston-Salem, N.C.; Guy W. Beard USA, Fort Knox, Ky., five sisters Mrs. Lucille Price of Sylvester, W.Va. and Miss Annette Beard of Sylvester, W.Va. Mrs. Ethel Wallace of Oak Hill, W. Va. and Mrs. Pearl Miller of Shinston, W. Va. one brother Paul Beard of Washington, DC, 16 grandchildren. The body was taken to Snellings Funeral Home and will be forwarded to Smith Funeral Home in Marlinton, W. Va. for a funeral service and burial. |
